Our story

A clearer path to the right college list.

Most students start junior year with a stack of rankings, a parent's anxiety, and a counselor stretched across hundreds of kids. AdmitScale exists to replace that with ten quiet minutes and a real plan.

College admissions has become a market — for rankings, for consultants, for the illusion of certainty. We built AdmitScale on a different premise: students and families deserve the same data and structure that private counselors charge thousands of dollars to translate.

You answer a guided assessment about your grades, coursework, activities, and goals. We compare your profile against more than 6,000 U.S. colleges using the same public datasets the Department of Education and journalists use. The result is a balanced list — reach, match, safety — with the reasoning behind it and concrete next steps.

We don't replace a great school counselor. We make their hour with you ten times more valuable.

The right college list balances ambition and realism. AdmitScale exists to make that balance visible.
Methodology

How we build your list.

No black boxes. Every recommendation traces back to public data and a transparent fit model.

Public, audited data

IPEDS and College Scorecard from the U.S. Department of Education — admit rates, mid-50% test ranges, net price, completion outcomes — refreshed continuously.

Profile-weighted fit

Your GPA, course rigor, scores, intended major, activities, and financial preferences each contribute to a transparent fit score per school.

Honest tiering

Reach, match, and safety are calibrated against admitted-class profiles — not marketing. Ultra-selective schools are flagged as the unpredictable bets they are.

AdmitScale is an educational planning tool. Estimates are not a guarantee of admission. Outcomes depend on essays, recommendations, demonstrated interest, and institutional priorities not captured in any model.
